Guided tours

‘Vingelen Fjellførerlag’ (Vingelen mountain guide association) offers guided tours of the village, the highland farms and the mountains (including Forollhogna National Park). You can opt for tours from one to several hours and you can learn about building styles, local history, highland farming, geology, wild reindeer, flora, etc.

Forollhogna information centre

Forollhogna Information Centre opened in June 2011 and is located in the multi-purpose building known as Bunåva, in Vingelen centre. Visitors of all ages can learn about the national park’s wildlife and culture through interactive displays featuring topics such as the mountain farms, wild reindeer, biodiversity and climate. (The texts are in Norwegian). There is a children’s corner with drawing facilities etc and there is a photo exhibition, which is periodically renewed.
The same location (Bunåva) also offer tourist information in the summer and free wireless internet.
