Mountain Farm Experiences at Aasgårdvollen

Aasgårdvollen is located in the summer farming area of Åsan, where several summer farms are still active.

At the farm you can take part in:

  • Milking and tending the cows
  • Herding the cows
  • Cuddling the old Norwegian “spælsau” sheep
  • Separating milk (when we do this)
  • Other farm activities

The area offers many hiking opportunities nearby, both for walking, mountain hiking, and cycling. The Pilgrim Trail through Østerdalen passes just above the farm.

The cabin has two bedrooms with a total of five beds, plus a sofa bed in the living room that sleeps two. There is also a traditional pull-out bed suitable for a child (1.55 m long). The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, and solar panels on the roof provide lighting and phone charging.

Dogs are allowed in the entryway, where there is a designated dog area.

There is an outdoor toilet with facilities for washing your hands. During the summer farming season, it is possible to use the shower in the farm building.

Book or read more about the cabin on Airbnb or Inatur. The cabin is available for rent all year.
After the summer season, it will also be possible to rent the main summer farmhouse on the property, with space for up to 14 people.
