The cabin Bratthøhytta is located in the high mountains, 926 m.a.s.l., in a landscape nature conservation area, and right at the border of Forolhogna National Park. At the location is also a cabin used for sheep shepherds during the summer. There are very special landscapes and surroundings, well worth a visit!

The cabin has 5-6 beds (four beds in the bedroom, and one bed and a sofa in the living room). It has a bedroom, kitchen and a living room, a total of 50 m2. There is cold water from spring, propane, wood burning and an outdoor toilet. You should bring sleeping bags. Fishing license for Vingelen is required for fishing in streams and ponds. In the summer you can reach the cabin by car, the distance to the village is approx. 20 km. Varying standard on the road. Early in the summer (before end of June) snowdrifts can make the last part of the road impassable by car, in years with extra large amounts of snow in the mountains.

The cabin was built in 1978 and is owned by Vingelen Sameie.

Rental period: Approx. 25 June until 9 September, some years also during October.

The cabin can be booked on Inatur’s website. Please note that is it not bookable summer 2024 due to renovation.
